Boston, Mass. (July 12) – The MIT crew program saw 14 student-athletes earn a spot on the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) All-Academic Team. Both the men's heavyweight and men's lightweight teams garnered five qualifiers while the women's lightweight team received four selections. Seniors
Sam Boshar (Andover, Mass.),
Kathleen Love (Arlington, Va.),
Rick Ono (Boston, Mass.),
Peter Scott (Cos Cob, Conn.), and
Richard Sollee (Jacksonville, Fla.) each collected their second IRA All-Academic Team award.

To be eligible for recognition a student-athlete must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.35 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher, completed one full year at their institution (freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible), be an institutional letter winner, and competed at the 2023 IRA National Championship Regatta.

Julia Van Cleef (Sr., Ormond Beach, Fla.)
Liane Xu (So., Orlando, Fla.)

Love, Quraishi, and Van Cleef were members of the Lightweight 4+ that captured silver medals at the IRA National Championship while Xu was half of the 2X that finished fifth in the Grand Final.
