- The Lead: The No. 8 MIT women's soccer team dropped a road non-conference match to Tufts, 3-0, on Tuesday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Junior 
Lauren Davis (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) looked to get the Engineers on the board, but her shot at 15:58 was saved by Jumbos keeper 
Gigi Edwards. 
 
- Tufts got on the scoreboard at 47:27 on a goal from 
Erin Duncan.
 
- Just over 10 minutes later, 
Caroline Kelly sent a pass over to 
Thalia Greenberg whose shot found the lower left corner of the net for the goal to make it 2-0.
 
- The Jumbos added another goal at 76:31 when 
Caroline O'Neill sent a pass to 
Camille Lu for the score.
 
- Senior 
Meagan Rowlett (Dana Point, Calif.) had her shot blocked 79:47, and Tufts held on for the 3-0 win.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Jumbos held a 22-6 advantage in shots and an 8-2 advantage in shots on goal.
 
- The hosts also held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
 
- Senior 
Morgan Everett (Danville, Pa.) fell to 3-1-1 and made a career-high five saves in the match.
 
- Edwards turned away two MIT shots to earn her first victory of the season.
