- The Lead: The MIT men's soccer team scored four second-half goals and got two from senior
Garrett Robinson (Winfield, Ill.) to help lead the team to a decisive 6-0 win over the Wentworth Institute of Technology on Wednesday afternoon on Roberts Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Robinson opened the match with two excellent scoring chances but both shots went wide of the goal.

- Robinson helped MIT get the first goal of the match when he sent a pass over to graduate student
John Flynn (Ashland, Va.) for the tip-in goal at 20:58.

Dilin Meloni (Needham, Mass.) sent a cross-field pass to a waiting Robinson who got the ball past a diving
Noah Lawless at 24:02 to give the Engineers a 2-0 advantage.

- Wentworth looked to get on the board on a scoring chance from
Jacob Dukeshire but his shot was turned away by first year
Hernando Ardila (Miramar, Fla.).

- The Engineers doubled their lead with goals just over two minutes apart. First year
Nico Mangiafico (Farmington, Conn.) got a pass from senior
James Simon (Ann Arbor, Mich.) in front of the goal and tallied his second goal of the year at 53:25. Robinson then added his second goal of the day on a header off a Meloni pass.

- Robinson sent a pass off a free kick into graduate student
Peter Novoa (Omaha, Neb.) for the header goal at 66:03 to make it a 5-0 MIT lead.

Zachary Zhang (Bellevue, Wash.) wrapped up the scoring for MIT with a diving goal off a pass from sophomore
Ethan Reich (New York, N.Y.) at 75:15 as the Engineers claimed the 6-0 win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- MIT held the advantage in shots (22-6) and shots on goal (11-6). The Engineers also held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.

- Robinson finished with a career-high five points to increase his team lead to nine.

- Novoa and Mangiafico both recorded their second goals of the season with Zhang and Flynn scoring their first of the year.

- Ardilla recorded his first collegiate win with six saves in the match.
