CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Graduate student Tiago Frazao's (Trumbull, Conn.) first half goal made all the difference for Endicott College, as the visiting Gulls defeated the MIT men's soccer team, 1-0, in non-conference play on Tuesday evening at Roberts Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Endicott graduate student Max Karkos (Wethersfield, Conn.) hit the post with the game's first shot at 6:36 as the Gulls were buzzing from the start. Endicott totaled five of the game's first six shots in the opening 23 minutes of play but play remained scoreless.
- Frazao broke the deadlock at 28:53, capitalizing on an Endicott corner. Frazao got free on a back post run, connecting on a powerful volley directly off the corner taken by sophomore Aidan Sheehan (Arlington, Mass.).
- Endicott ended the first half with a 7-5 advantage in shots, taking the 1-0 lead into the break.
- MIT pressed throughout the second half but could not find the equalizer. The Engineers' best opportunity came with just over 28 minutes to play when graduate student Aidan Hallinan (Carlsbad, Calif.) buzzed a shot over the cross bar.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The teams finished even in shots on target, 5-5.
- Frazao's goal was his fourth of the season, tying him for Endicott's team lead.
- Sophomore goalkeepers Hernando Ardila (Miramar, Fla.) and Paolo Mangiafico (Farmington, Conn.) combined to make four saves for MIT, with Ardila making three in the first half.
- First year Brady O'Toole (Concord, Mass.) earned his fourth consecutive start for Endicott, recording his third shutout.
