No. 3 MIT Women's Swimming and Diving Earns 223-75 Win Over Bowdoin

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 3 MIT women's swimming and diving team took a 223-75 win over Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon at the Zesiger Center Pool.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Senior Iris Yang (Seattle, Wash.), first year Sarah Bernard (Brookline, Mass.), junior Annika Naveen (Wynnewood, Pa.), and sophomore Ella Roberson (Midland, Mich.) opened the day for MIT with a win in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:43.41. Roberson, sophomore Sydney Smith (Atlanta, Ga.), graduate student Alexandra Turvey (Vancouver, B.C.), and senior Kate Augustyn (Eau Claire, Wis.) ended the meet with a victory in the 400-free relay as they finished in 3:27.83.
Smith took the top spot in the 100-free with a time of 52.00.
Sophomore Anna Li (Boyds, Md.) won the 100-breast as she touched the wall at 1:06.10. Smith finished second with a time of 1:06.10.
Sophomore Fiora Beratahani (San Jose, Calif.) won both boards. She claimed the top spot on the 1-meter with a score of 277.85 and won the 3-meter with a mark of 293.45.
