WESTWOOD, Mass. – The MIT men's cross country team has earned a NEWMAC high 19 Academic All-Conference Team awards in 2024. A total of 60 student-athletes across the NEWMAC earned the award, as announced by the conference on Thursday.
Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2024 spring semester, achieved second-year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

Hansen has now earned the honor for the fourth time. Andres and
Pablo Arroyo, Ilerbaig-Bajona, Medearis, Opsahl, and Shuttleworth each earned the honor a third time, while Glass, Hassan and Neumann claimed their second career honors. Black, Cobb, Martinez, Hunter and
Jaxon Miller, Noreldaim, Sun, Villa, and Whitaker were recognized for the first time by the NEWMAC.
