- MIT won two of three doubles matches with MIT's first win of the day coming from senior
Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) and first-year
Adam Sun (Glendale, Ariz.) as they took No. 2 doubles, 8-7 in a tie break over
Chase Kasday and
Harry Collomb. Seniors
Sundeep Chakladar (Redondo Beach, Calif.) and
Joseph Li (Naperville, Ill.) followed with an 8-7 tie-breaking win in No. 3 doubles against
Brett Keeling and
Max Litton.
- MIT won four of six singles matches. The first singles win came from junior
Ryan Xiao (Cary, N.C.) over
Brett Keeling, 7-6, 6-1 in No. 3 singles. Sun followed beating Collomb 6-3, 6-3 in four singles.
- Graduate Student
Daniel Papacica (Carmel, Calif.) won 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 in No. 2 singles over
Ben Mitchell. First-year
Siddharth Marathe (Pune India) finished the day with a 6-4, 6-2 win in six singles over
Harry Portnoy.
