HOW IT HAPPENED vs. GAME ONE

- The Pride jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a double by Carissa Pecchia. MIT quickly responded in the bottom of the inning as junior Mikayla Cable (Valrico, Fla.) led off with a double to center and scored on a homer to left by classmate Mackenzie Bivin (San Diego, Calif.) that gave MIT a 2-1 lead.

- The Pride tied the game in the second on an RBI double from Amelie DeRosa and tacked on runs in the third and fourth to go up 4-2.

- DeRosa retired MIT in order in both the sixth and seventh innings to secure the 4-2 win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- With her home run, Bivin now ranks second all-time with nine in her career. Her two RBI now put her in a tie for first with 97. Cable went 2-3 with a run scored in the lead-off spot.

- Sophomore Caroline Langmeyer (Upper Arlington, Ohio) fell to 7-2 with a complete game four-hitter. Two of the four runs were earned, and she walked two and struck out five.

- DeRosa went 2-4 at the plate to go along with her complete game win to improve to 9-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED vs. GAME TWO

- Cable got MIT on the board first as she scored on a wild pitch in the first.

- From there the Pride took over, scoring the next five runs, including two in the seventh to seal the 5-1 win.

- Cable and Bivin recorded back-to-back two-out singles in the bottom of the seventh, but they were left stranded to end the game.
