rival Clark University on Saturday morning at the J.B. Carr Tennis Bubble.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- MIT won all three of its doubles matches 8-0 with the first victory of the day coming from senior
Kimberly Liao (Commack, N.Y.) and first-year
Anastasia Samets (Ocean, N.J.) in No. 3 doubles over
Emma Allen and Winifred Gakidis. In the No. 2 spot, junior
Jay Lu (Austin, Texas) and first-year Saina Deshpande (Pune, India) registered a win over Olivia Shipley and Crisi Patel. In the top slot, sophomores Alaina Kolli (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) and Artemis Pados (Delray Beach, Fla.) secured the last doubles win over Maeve McEnroe and Merielle Kane.

Katya Shepherd Johnson (Takoma Park, Md.), Liao, and Kolli all earned 6-0, 6-1 wins against Hannah Russo, Shipley, and McEnroe in the top, No. 2, and No. 3 positions respectively.
- First-years Samets,
Nishi Gandra (Mason, Ohio), and Alicen Liu (Novi, Mich.) all earned 6-0, 6-0 wins against Kane, Gakidis, and
Varvara Maltseva in the No. 4, 5, and 6 positions respectively.
- Lu now ranks third in program history in total number of matches won with 120. The only players above her are Dora Tzeng '18 with 126 and Elysa Kohrs '17 with 147.
