No. 25 Men's Tennis Opens NCAA Tournament with 5-0 Win Over Bridgewater St.

- The Lead: The No. 25 MIT men's tennis team earned a decisive 5-0 opening round in the NCAA Tournament against Bridgewater St. on Friday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
 
- Seniors Sundeep Chakladar (Redondo Beach, Calif.) and Joseph Li (Naperville, Ill.) kicked off doubles with an 8-1 win in No. 1 doubles. First-years Siddharth Marathe (Pune, India) and Shrish Choudhary (Fremont, Calif.) followed with an 8-0 win in three doubles with first-year Adam Sun (Glendale, Ariz.) and senior Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) taking No. 2 doubles 8-0.
 
- Junior Ryan Xiao (Cary, N.C.) gave the Engineers a 4-0 lead with a 6-0, 6-1 win in No. 3 singles with graduate student Daniel Papacica (Carmel, Calif.) securing the win with a 6-1, 6-1 victory in No. 2 singles.
