Cambridge, Mass. – After a scoreless first half, No. 10 Tufts scored four minutes into the second half to earn a 1-0 win over the MIT men's soccer team on Wednesday night on Roberts Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- The teams played a scoreless first half with Tufts holding a 7-2 advantage in shots. Sophomore
Paolo Mangiafico (Farmington, Conn.) made four stops in the first 45 minutes of play to keep the Jumbos off the board. First year
Shikhar Motupally (Avon, Conn.) had the best opportunities for the Engineers in the half, but Tufts' defense blocked back-to-back shots.

- Junior Daniel Yanez (Short Hills, N.J.) sent a touch pass into the front of the goal for graduate student Liam Gerken (Pales Verdes, Calif.) who tapped the ball into the corner of the net at 49:30 to give Tufts a 1-0 lead.

Jonah Gurion (Rye, N.Y.) in front of the goal with under 10 minutes left in the half, but the shot by Gurion went just wide.
