BOSTON, Mass. - The No. 17 MIT men's volleyball team improved to 6-0 as the Engineers earned their fourth 3-0 win of the season with a road sweep of Emerson on Tuesday night.
Senior Riley Oh (Irvine, Calif.) led the way for the Engineers with 10 digs, 28 assists and two aces.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: A 5-0 run, bookended by a kill and ace from sophomore Ryan Espinoza (Los Angeles, Calif.) put the Engineers up 15-5. Emerson responded with a 5-2 run to pull to within eight, but MIT rattled off a 7-1 run as a kill from senior Grant Oh (Irvine, Calif.) gave MIT the 25-11 win.
Set 2: The Lions took an early 3-1 lead before the Engineers went on a 4-0 run to take a 5-3 advantage. The Engineers then used a 13-1 run to take an 18-5 lead. A kill from first-year Kristof Spellen (New Rochelle N.Y.) sealed the 25-9 win.
Set 3: Kills from sophomore Jensen Fiskin (Palm Desert, Calif.) and Espinoza gave the Engineers a 7-3 lead. MIT put together a 6-0 run to pull ahead by a score of 14-6. Emerson chipped away and pulled to within 16-10, but MIT held on as a kill and ace from Espinoza sealed a 25-17 win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Spellen finished eight kills followed by classmate Maddox Brandenburg (Carlsbad, Calif.) with seven and Espinoza with six. Brandenburg also tallied three blocks.
- Chase Fagen (Rye, N.Y.) led Emerson with 11 kills.
- MIT hit .559 in the match while the Lions hit -.081.
