No. 7 Men's Swim and Dive Falls to Harvard in Season Opener

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 7 MIT men's swimming and diving team opened its season against Division I Harvard on Friday night at the Zesiger Center Pool.

Scores: Harvard - 216, MIT - 79

HOW IT HAPPENED:

200 Medley Relay: The team of Nathan Kim, Thomas Wu, Eric Huang, and Evan Wong finished fourth with a time of 1:32.47.
1,000 Free: Mark O'Mara finished third in 9:58.15.
200 Free: Grant Hu finished third with a time of 1:40.69 followed by Evan Wong in fourth. Ethan Fang, Kelson Cantrell, and Gidean Karp finished fifth-seventh.
100 Back: Kim won the event with a time of 49.47.
100 Breast: Wu led the way with a third-place finish, completing the event in 57.90
200 Fly: Jason Wang took fifth with a time of 1:53.69.
50 Free: Bryce Roberts finished second with a time of 21.26 followed by Anthony Koh in third with a mark of 21.46.
100 Free: Kim finished second in 45.62.
200 Back: Ian Sun took third with a time of 1:54.99.
200 Breast: Wang completed the event in 2:08.96 to take second. Wu finished behind him in third.
500 Free: John Tietjen finished fifth in 4:53.40.
100 Fly: Huang took fifth with a time of 50.49.
200 IM: Hu finished in second (1:51.28) followed closely by Wang in third with a time of 1:51.71.
200 Free Relay: Aaron Martin, Huang, Keon McClure and Kim finished third with a time of 1:24.25.
1-Meter Dive: Truman Remenicky, Jack Tucker, and Andrew Simons finished sixth-eighth. Remenicky led the way with a score of 225.80.
3-Meter Dive: Remenicky finished third with a total score of 223.95.
