CAMBRIDGE Mass. - The No. 8 MIT women's soccer team concluded the regular season with a 4-0 win over WPI on Senior Day on Roberts Field.
Prior to the start of the match, MIT recognized its graduating class of Ava Muffoletto, Sean Luk, Leena Mehendale, Shreya Kalyan, and Alice Vranka.

- Records: No. 8 MIT (17-2-1 Overall, 10-0-1 NEWMAC), WPI (10-6-3 Overall, 5-4-2 NEWMAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sasha Ceol lifted a pass from the MIT side of the field over to the offensive zone where Natalie Barnouw collected the ball for a breakaway chance and converted the goal at 16:38.
- Ayla Verheul made great diving save at the near post on Ayla Sumer to keep the score 1-0.
- Arianna Doss sent a cross into the front of the net for Madeline Seebeck whose shot went into the corner of the net to make it 2-0 MIT at 47:34.
- Sasha Ceol collected a loose ball off a corner kick by Leena Mehendale and put it past a diving Maya Mussel at 51:51.
- Barnouw sent a cross to the front of the net where Ella Conopask deflected the ball into the goal at 79:19 to secure the win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Barnouw tallied her 16th goal and 12th assist of the season. She is currently in the top-five in Division III in assists and top-10 in total points.
- Seebeck tallied her 10th goal of the season while Ceol and Conopask got their second and third goals respectively.
- Doss recorded her third assist of the season.
- Muffoletto and Maddy Noll combined for the 15th shutout of the season for MIT. Muffoletto got the win to move to 15-0.
