MARLBOROUGH, Mass.  – MIT football sophomore kicker Luke Pelletier has been named the NEWMAC Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 10, 2025. The honor is the first of the season and the second of Pelletier's career.

Pelletier finished 3-for-3 on field goals of 22, 37, and 39 yards and 3-for-3 on extra points as the Engineers earned a 30-27 NEWMAC victory over Maritime on Saturday. Pelletier's 37-yard field goal came with 1:11 left in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 20-20 and send it to overtime. He then won the game for MIT with a second clutch kick, as his 39-yard attempt in the second extra session gave MIT the victory.
 
Pelletier and MIT will close out the 2025 regular season on Friday at 7:00 PM when the Engineers host Norwich.
