FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Junior Isaac Dobie scored 32 points on 11-of-15 shooting from the field to lead the MIT men's basketball team to an 83-67 victory over Framingham State on Thursday evening at Logan Gymnasium.
Dobie was 6-of-8 from three-point range to lead MIT, as the Engineers finished the night shooting over 50 percent from beyond the arc, knocking down 15-of-26 shots from distance. Six different MIT players hit three pointers in the contest as four other Engineers joined Dobie in double figures.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- MIT quickly erased a 5-2 Framingham State lead in the early going, using a 9-0 run that put Engineers up 11-5 following a Will Bland three-pointer at 14:43 of the first. Â
- The visitors would lead by as many as 11 points in the opening half, only to see the host Rams come charging back to take the lead prior to halftime. Â
- MIT took a 19-8 lead after Wyatt Mowery hit a three pointers at 12:38. However, Framingham State countered, using a 14-3 run over the next four and half minutes to tie the game at 22-all.Â
- It would take until the 1:11 mark of the first for the Rams to regain the lead following a Domonick Victor layup. Dobie then capped off the first half with a layup to send MIT into the break trailing by one, 35-34.
- After the break, it was all Engineers. MIT outscored Framingham State 49-32 in the second half. MIT opened the half with a 10-1 run that put the visitors ahead, 44-36 at the 15:45 mark.Â
- MIT's lead grew back into double figures by the 10:22 mark after Jackson Weiland dropped in two free throws to make the score 56-46. Â
- Dobie scored the next seven MIT points to help the Engineers grow the advantage to 63-50 by 7:36 of the second. The Engineers' lead would grow to its largest of the night at 4:08 of the second following Dobie's final three pointer of the night, 77-57.
- Framingham State trimmed the 20-point deficit to 12, when Isiah Alexander hit a three with 1:52 left, but the hosts never threatened over the final four minutes of regulation as MIT closed out the 83-67 victory.Â
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Dobie finished just shy of his career high of 37 points. He has now scored in double figures in four of MIT's five games this season.Â
- MIT set early season-highs for points, field goals scored, and three-point field goals made in the contest.Â
- Mowery added 13 points for the Engineers, while Mike Ewing, Rome Delgado-Gonzalez and Will Bland each added 10 points. Merlin Gogolin had six rebounds to lead MIT on the glass.Â
- Dyree Rogers was the high-scorer for Framingham, finishing with 15 points. He was one of four Rams to finish in double figures.Â

- It will be a quick turnaround for the Engineers, as MIT will play on the road at Fitchburg State tomorrow night at 7:00 PM. Â
- The game was originally scheduled to be played at MIT on Saturday but was moved in support of MIT hosting the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship.Â
