MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – MIT men's basketball junior
Isaac Dobie has been named the NEWMAC Men's Basketball Offensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 23, 2025. The honor is the first of the season for Dobie and the second NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week honor of his career.
Dobie found his rhythm during the second week of the regular season, topping the 20-point plateau in three consecutive road contests, including a 32-point effort in an MIT win at Framingham State. Dobie opened the week with 23 points and nine rebounds, four offensive, in a 73-68 win at Salem State on Tuesday. He followed by shooting 11-of-15 from the floor and 6-of-8 from three while adding two assists in an 83-67 win over Framingham State on Thursday. The next night, Dobie dropped another 23 points, shooting 7-of-10 from field goal range and 2-for-2 from distance as the Engineers were stunned by a half-court buzzer beater at Fitchburg State, 75-72.
Dobie and the Engineers return home to host Tufts in non-conference play on Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM.
