KANSAS CITY, Mo. – MIT women's soccer coach Martin Desmarais and his staff have been selected as the United Soccer Coaches Region II Coaching Staff of the Year.
Desmarais, who is assisted by Jeff Katz, KD Dolan, and Vinny Coppola earned regional coach of the year honors after guiding the Engineers to an overall record of 22-3-1 in 2025. MIT won both the NEWMAC regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Round of 16.
MIT tied the program record with 22 wins and 20 shutouts. The Engineers finished the year with the most shutouts in Division III.
Desmarais and his staff, who also earned the NEWMAC Coaching Staff of the Year, coached seven all-conference players, including the NEWMAC Athlete of the Year in Natalie Barnouw. Barnouw and Madeline Seebeck were also named United Soccer Coaches All-Americans.
