Beratahani Leads the Way for MIT at the NCAA Diving Regionals

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Six members of the No. 2 MIT women's swimming and diving team took part in the NCAA Diving Regional 3-Meter board competition. Sophomore Fiora Beratahani (San Jose, Calif.) led the way with a second-place finish. 

Beratahani totaled 476.05 points. Issara Schmidt of NYU won the event with a score of 488.30. Senior Rachel Loh (Arcadia, Calif.) finished in eighth with 441.90 points. 

Junior Emma Scott (Belmont, Calif.) took tenth with 443.05 total points. Sophomore Kailey Epstein (Belle Mead, N.J.) finished with 382.05 points, first year Maya Zavatsky (Somerset, N.J.) scored 362.15 points, and junior Larissa Gosslau (Chicago, Ill.) finished with 342.55 points. 

Qualified divers will be announced by the NCAA later in the week. The 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships will begin on Wednesday, March 19 in Greensboro, N.C. The women's 1-Meter Diving will take place on Thursday, March 20 and the 3-Meter will be held on Saturday, March 22.
