Match Recap: Men's Tennis |

Men's Tennis Falls to No. 36 Brandeis, 5-2

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to No. 31 Brandeis on Wednesday afternoon inside the J.B. Carr Tennis Bubble.  
 
THE BASICS: 

  • Score: No. 31 Brandeis 5, MIT 2 
  • Records: MIT (6-6 Overall), Brandeis (6-4 Overall) 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Brandeis took two of three doubles matches to go up 1-0. The loan Engineer win came from sophomore Shrish Choudhary (Fremont, Calif.) and senior Ryan Xiao (Cary, N.C.) in No. 3 doubles as they earned a 6-3 win.  
  • Choudhary and sophomore Adam Sun (Glendale, Ariz.) grabbed the first two singles wins to give the Engineers a 2-1 advantage. Choudhary earned a 6-4, 7-5 victory in No. 3 singles and Sun took No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-4.  
  • The Judges then went on to win the remainder of the singles matches to take the 5-2 decision.  

UP NEXT: 

  • The Engineers return to action for a NEWMAC contest on Saturday, April 12 for a 1:00 PM match at Coast Guard. The Judges will host Coast Guard on Monday, April 14 at 3:00 PM.
