CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 6 MIT men's swimming and diving team captured 12 event wins in a 187.5-103.5 victory over Amherst on Saturday afternoon at the Zesiger Center Pool.
Before the meet, MIT recognized its senior class of Theo Chen, Alvin Tsai, Zack West, and Thomas Wu.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 200 Medley Relay: The MIT A relay of Aitor Arrese-Igor, Thomas Wu, Bryce Roberts and Aaron Martin took the top spot in 1:33.20.
- 1000 Freestyle: Kelson Cantrell took second in 9:57.23 followed by Evan Wong in third with a time of 10:01.27.
- 200 Freestyle: Jason Wang earned the win in 1:43.25 with Martin finishing in second in 1:44.13.
- 100 Backstroke: Arrese-Igor claimed the top spot in 51.88 and Ian Sun finished just behind him in 52.35.
- 100 Breaststroke: Thomas Wu took the victory with a time of 57.05 with Nathan Wu finishing in third with a time of 57.69.
- 200 Butterfly: Grant Hu won with a mark of 1:52.15 and Nathan Zhu earned third with a time of 1:54.60.
- 50 Freestyle: Keon McClure got the top spot with a time of 21.65 with Martin in third with a time of 21.90.
- 1-Meter Diving: Jack Tucker got the top spot with 425.10 points while Andrew Simons finished in third with 216.74 points.
- 100 Freestyle: Ethan Fang grabbed the win in 47.79 with Roberts just behind him in second with a time of 48.08.
- 200 Backstroke: Ian Sun grabbed the win, touching the wall in 1:54.51.
- 200 Breaststroke: Nathan Wu clocked in third with a time of 2:07.72 and Daniel Seong took fourth in 2:10.97.
- 500 Freestyle: Mark O'Mara placed third with a time of 4:43.70, and Cantrell took fourth in 4:45.00.
- 100 Butterfly: Eric Huang won 49.87 while Zhu took second in 50.80.
- 3-Meter Diving: Simons won with a score of 451.95 and Tucker accumulated 418.80 points for second.
- 200 IM: Jason Wang captured the victory with a time of 1:51.13. Nathan Wu claimed second with a time of 1:55.77.
- 200 Freestyle Relay: Martin, McClure, Kim, and Wong came in second, touching the wall in 1:24.14.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Tucker hit an NCAA Regional score on the 1-Meter while Simons earned a regional mark on the 3-Meter.

- Selected student-athletes will compete at the BU Winter Open which runs from Friday, February 6 – Saturday, February 7. The Engineers will then host the 2026 NEWMAC Swimming and Diving Championships which will take place from Thursday, February 19-Sunday, February 22.
