CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The No. 6 MIT men's swimming and diving team put together a successful meet as the Engineers cruised to a 222-74 win over Springfield on Saturday afternoon at the Zesiger Center Pool. 

THE BASICS: 

• Score: MIT 222, Springfield 74 
• Records: MIT (1-1), Springfield (0-3) 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• 1-Meter Diving: Andrew Simons won with a score of 268.35. 
• 3-Meter Diving: Simons took third with a mark of 257.10. 
• 400 Medley Relay: Aitor Arrese-Igor, Nathan Wu, Eric Huang, and Evan Wong won the event in 3:23.83. 
• 1,000 Free: Mark O'Mara earned the win in 9:53.06 followed by Garic Shao with a time of 9:57.31. 
• 200 Free: Wong took the victory in 1:43.23 while Jason Wang finished with a time of 1:44.46 for second. 
• 100 Back: Arrese-Igor won in 53.19. 
• 100 Breast: Andrew Koek swam a time of 58.46 to earn the win followed by Daniel Seong in second with a time of 58.98. 
• 200 Fly: Aasish Dangol took first in 1:52.95 followed by Wu in second with a mark of 1:54.04. 
• 50 Free: In first was Eric Huang with a time of 21.12 with Keon McClure coming in second in 21.41. 
• 100 Free: Aaron Martin took first in 46.77 with Oliver Van Peteghem coming in second with a time of 47.28. 
• 200 Back: Taylor Wagner finished with a time of 1:58.32 to earn the win.  
• 200 Breast: Wu earned the win in 2:06.88. 
• 500 Free: Jake Jones finished with a time of 4:51.37 to earn the win. 
• 100 Fly: Huang won the event in 49.66. 
• 400 IM: Wang grabbed the victory in 4:06.66 followed by Dangol in second with a mark of 4:09.69. 
• 200 Free Relay: Huang, Martin, Alexander Wong and McClure won in 1:24.33. 

UP NEXT: 

• MIT remains at the Zesiger Center Pool as they welcome Division I Boston University on Friday, November 6 for a 6:30 PM meet.
