CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The No. 6 MIT men's swimming and diving team posted the fastest time in 10 events in a successful meet against Division I Boston University on Friday night at the Zesiger Center Pool.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• 1-Meter Diving: Andrew Simons finished third with a score of 282.00 followed by Jack Tucker in fourth with a score of 241.20. 
• 3-Meter Diving: Simons finished third with a score of 244.73 followed by Tucker in fourth with a score of 239.77. 
• 200 Medley Relay: Aitor Arrese-Igor, Nathan Wu, Aaron Martin and Keon McClure took second with a time of 1:29.79, just under a second behind the team from BU. 
• 1000 Free: Mark O'Mara finished with a time of 9:30.51. 
• 200 Free: Garic Shao took the top spot with a time of 1:41.39. 
• 100 Back: Evan Wong finished second with a time of 50.79. 
• 100 Breast: Nathan Wu took second with a mark of 56.12.  
• 200 Fly: Aasish Dangol came in second in 1:49.52 followed by Jason Wang (1:50.84) and Nathan Zhu (1:58.81). 
• 50 Free: Jayden Chan took first in 20.19 with Arrese-Igor in second with a time of 20.95. 
• 100 Free: Aaron Martin won with a time of 45.48 followed by Evan Wong in second with a time of 45.79. 
• 200 Back: Shao put up a time of 1:56.69. 
• 200 Breast: Wu earned the top spot in 2:05.15 followed by Jake Jones (2:06.74) and Andrew Koek (2:08.37). 
• 500 Free: Oliver Van Peteghem won the event in 4:33.46. 
• 100 Fly: Caden Wong took the top spot in 50.13. 
• 400 IM: Dangol finished the event in 4:05.26. 
• 200 IM: Jason Wang took the win in 1:48.93 followed by Wu in second with a time of 1:52.68. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

• Simons hit a regional score on the 1-Meter. 
• Chan got a B Cut time in the 50 Free. 
• Wang achieved a B Cut in the 200 IM. 

UP NEXT: 

• The Engineers are off next weekend and will return to the pool on Saturday, November 21 for a meet at Bowdoin beginning at 12:00 PM.
