The MIT sailing team finished in the top-five in three of four regattas, highlighted by a qualifying mark at the Women's AAC Round 1A and a third-place finish at the Smith Trophy.
WOMEN'S ACC ROUND 1A | Hanover, NH | 5th of 18 (198 Points)
- With the fifth-place finish, the Engineers qualify for the ACC Championship finals, which will be held October 17-18 in Maryland.
- In the 'A' Division, Emma Wang, Noelani Li and Alice Colby took 11th with 124 points and four top-five finishes.
- Karya Basaraner and Sophia Woodbury finished second in the 'B' Division with 74 points. They had nine top-five finishes, including two wins.
DANMARK TROPHY | New London, CT | 10th of 19 (213 Points)
- Robert Ulmer and Ellie Pinto took ninth in the 'A' Division with 101 points. They finished in the top-five on four occasions with two wins.
- Andy Yu, Will Kulas and Elliott Chalcraft took 11th in the 'B' Division with 112 points. They had five top-10 finishes, highlighted by a fourth-place finish.
SMITH TROPHY | Cambridge, Mass. | 3rd of 18 (110 Points)
- Ryan Hoffman and Layla Bursor earned a second-place finish in the 'A' Division collecting 43 points. In ten races they finished in the top-three five times and won two.
- Kaitlyn Beaver and Adrian Maciuca led the 'B' Division boat to a seventh-place finish with 67 points. The team finished strong, winning the last race of the day.
BU INVITE | Boston, Mass. | 4th of 9 (177 Points)
- The Engineers tied Tufts for fourth and earned the tie-breaker based on head-to-head finishes.
- In the 'A' Division, Jan Mistak and Adé Larsen finished fifth with 60 points, earning five top-five places including one win.
- Justinas Petkauskas and Yancheng Zhao finished in 14th with 117 points highlighted by a third and fifth-place finish.

- The Engineers are back in the water next weekend as they will compete at the Open ACC Round 1B and the Stu Nelson Trophy.
