BOSTON, Mass. – The No. 6 MIT men's swimming and diving team competed in the two-day Boston University Winter Open at the FitRec Competition Pool. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:    

• 200 IM: David Abarbanel finished tenth in 1:53.25. 
• 50 Free: Anthony Koh clocked in with a time of 21.08 to take ninth. Caden Wong and Louis Avondet took 16th and 17th with Jack Bolte finishing 20th overall. 
• 1-Meter Dive: Andrew Simons posted the top score of 273.40. 
• 100 Fly: Wong took fifth in 49.49. Avondet finished in 50.02 for 10th and Abarbanel finished with a time of 51.29. 
• 200 Free: Bolte clocked in with a time of 1:45.66 to take 12th. 
• 100 Breast: Bollettieri led the way in sixth with a mark of 56.55. Abarbanel followed in eighth and Koh took 11th. 
• 100 Back: Jake Geoghegan placed seventh with a time of 50.97. 
• 200 Medley Relay: Geoghegan, Bollettieri, Abarbanel, and Koh finished with a time of 1:33.08 for fourth.  
• 3-Meter Dive: Simons finished in third with 237.45 points.  
• 200 Back: Geoghegan placed fifth, clocking in at 1:51.95. 
• 100 Free: Koh took eighth place with a time of 47.01 while Avondet took 11th with a time of 47.97. 
• 200 Breast: Abarbanel finished in 2:05.56 to place eighth. Bolte finished behind him in ninth while Bollettieri finished 13th.

• The Engineers will host the 2026 NEWMAC Swimming and Diving Championships which will take place from Thursday, February 19 - Sunday, February 22.
