CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Owen Sondag closed strong to win the 5000m title as No. 10 MIT men's track and field hosted Distance Night at the Sean Collier Invitational on Friday evening at the Sherie and Don (1961) Morrison Track at Steinbrenner Stadium.

TOP PERFORMERS - Track Events: 

• 3000m Steeplechase: Gael Medina was eighth in 10:17.10. 
• 5000m: Sondag made a late move to win the event in 14:23.69. Renne Cooper was 7th in 14:53.12, while Nate Martinez was 8th in 14:55.37, and Yichen Sun was 14th in 15:05.94. London Hering added a 16th place finish in 15:20.70.
