INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Committee announced the participants for the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday and eight members of the No. 13 MIT men's track and field team have earned selections to this year's championships. 

The 2026 NCAA Division III outdoor track and field championships will take place May 21-23, 2026, at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin. For each individual event contested, including the decathlon and heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 16 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition. 
 
Selected MIT student-athletes by event: 

800 Meters 

• 14th – Jared Steins — 1:50.07 
• 15th – David Whitaker — 1:50.11 

1500 Meters 

• 7th – Tim Neumann — 3:45.92 

10,000 Meters 

• 15th – Owen Sondag — 29:48.97 

3000 Steeplechase 

• 19th – Luke Rupert — 9:05.34 

High Jump 

• 19th – Anthony Meng — 2.06m (6' 9") 

Triple Jump 

• 12th – Sean Huckleberry — 14.85m (48' 8.75") 

Javelin 

• 13th – Jonah Goldstein — 62.74m (205' 10")
