MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Julie Heyde, Director of Track and Field and Cross Country/Track and Field Head Coach and the MIT track andfield coaching staff have been named the 20262 NEWMAC Men's and Women's Track and Field coaching staff of the year.  

Heyde, associate head coach Todd Linder and assistants Riley Macon, Ben Waruch, Liam Ackerman, Whitney Macon, Hannah Jackson, Alexis Boykin, Christina Crow, Olivia Dias, Ziyad Hassan, and Walter Truitt, helped lead the men's track and field team to its 24th all-time NEWMAC title with 253 points, while the MIT women's track and field team won its fifth straight and the program's 17th all-time NEWMAC title with 276 points at the 2026 NEWMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship. 

The Track Athlete, Field Athlete, Rookie, and Coaching Staff of the Year were voted on by the ten head coaches following the NEWMAC Championship.
