TAMPA, Fla. - The MIT sailing team earned a 15th-place finish at the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Open Fleet Race Championship Semifinals. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Day one was cut short with the Engineers sitting in 17th with 82 points.  
  • The 'A' Division boat of Robert Ulmer and Ellie Pinto were in 17th after day one with 58 points 
  • In the 'B' Division, Will Kulas and Elliott Chalcraft finished 12th after day one with 24 points. 
• Day two saw the Engineers finish 15th as they accumulated 162 points over the two days. 
  • Ulmer and Pinot finished 17th with 97 points, earning a ninth-place finish to end the day. 
  • Kulas and Chalcraft along with Andy Yu and Adrian Maciuca took 11th with 65 total points. They grabbed two top-five finishes, including a best finish of third to end the day.
