NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – MIT's
Ashley Thomas and
Pauline Vien were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-America Third Team on Friday. The third and fourth IWLCA All-America honors in program history, the Engineers had multiple selections for the first time and Thomas is the first player to be a two-time honoree.
An All-America Second Team pick in 2024, Thomas currently ranks third in the nation in assists (71) and fourth in assists per game (3.55), points (136), and points per game (6.80). She closed her career by setting program records for assists in a season (71), career assists (212), points in a game (12), points in a season (136), and career points (444). In addition, Thomas was the fourth player in the history of NCAA Division III women's lacrosse to produce 200 goals and 200 assists.
A first-time recipient, Vien currently ranks 10
th in the country in save percentage (.512) and placed second in the NEWMAC in saves (148) and sixth in goals against average (9.68). In the MIT record book, she is first in career goals against average (9.01), second in career save percentage (.529), and fourth in career saves (317).
