CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT's
Zach Bleil and
Garrett Campagna were selected as United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-Americans while the Engineers earned the USILA All-Academic Team Award. Bleil and Campagna became the 10
th and 11
th student-athletes in program history to receive the individual honor from the organization while the squad claimed the team award for the fifth year in a row.
A Scholar All-American must be nominated by his coach and be a student with a senior year academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale). He will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must also be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player. To qualify for the All-Academic Team Award, a team must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. MIT ended the year with a team GPA of 3.8.
