CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT men's and women's cross country and Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Julie Heyde have announced the teams' 2026 schedule.
MIT will run its annual Alumni Meet on September 5 at Powisset Farm in Dover, Mass. before turning its attention to three meets prior to the championship season. The Engineers will open the season on Saturday, September 12 at the Amherst "Battle of Massachusetts" Relays. The team will then travel to Northfield, Minn. for the Running of the Cows Pre-Nationals Meet, hosted by Carleton College. MIT will return to the Northeast to compete at the annual Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday, October 17.
The 2026 NEWMAC Championships will take place on Saturday, October 31 at Smith College. MIT will then move to the NCAA Division III East Regional Championships on Saturday, November 14, hosted by Bates College at the Wainwright Recreation Complex in South Portland, Maine. The 2026 NCAA Division III Championships will take place on Saturday, November 21 at the Bill Huyck Championship Course in Northfield, Minn., hosted by Carleton College.
