Favorite Sports Memory
- My favorite sports memory is probably playing Johnson & Wales my freshman year in the regional NCAA finals. Although we lost in 5 (it was soo close!), the energy in the gym and on the court was so electric. I'll never forget how hard my teammates played for each other and how much that team loved each other.
Favorite Moment as an MIT Student-Athlete
- My favorite sports moments are the those that happen in passing – spending time with my teammates on the bus, singing our favorite songs, seeing each other in the weight room, or working on problem sets together. Knowing I have a strong community behind me in my team has been one of the best things about my MIT experience.

Why I Chose MIT:
- To me, MIT offers the perfect blend of amazing academics and competitive Division III athletics. Collaborating with extremely intelligent women to play the best volleyball we can is the ideal environment for me, and MIT offers just that. However, MIT is more than just a school with a stellar reputation. Coming from a small high school, a strong sense of community was very important to me when looking at colleges. There is a large emphasis on teamwork here rather than competition—everyone is so supportive and just wants to see you succeed, coaches and students alike. MIT offers a tight-knit community in an urban environment, where you have so many opportunities to explore Boston and the world through internships and clubs while making friends on campus that will last a lifetime.
