AT MIT
Tanner Kingsley is in his first season as an Assistant Coach with the MIT football program in 2026-27. Kingsley is the team’s Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach. In addition, he works in the varsity equipment room at the Assistant Varsity Equipment Manager.
BEFORE MIT
Prior to arriving at MIT, Kingsley was the head football coach at Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass. At the time of his hire, Kingsley was the youngest head coach in the country. Kingsley led the AMCats to a share of the 2025 MASCAC regular season championship, tying a program record for wins in a season with a 7-3 record before the college closed in the spring of 2026.
He spent the previous four years as the program’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, helping Anna Maria to become a fixture in the NCAA Division III top ten rankings for passing offense and total offense. The AMCats averaged 38.9 points per game over his four seasons as the team’s play caller and were the top-ranked offense in the conference each season.
From 2021 to 2025 he tutored multiple standout quarterbacks at Anna Maria, including two-time All-Conference honoree Alex Cohen, two-time ECFC Player of the Year Ryan Russell and the 2025 MASCAC and Rookie of the Year, Niko Boyce. Kingsley was named the ECFC Assistant Coach of the Year in 2023.
OTHER EXPERIENCES
Originally from Beacon Falls, Conn., Kingsley played college football as a quarterback at East Coast Prep, Central Connecticut State and Anna Maria.
He attended Woodland Regional High School where he was a three-sport all-state athlete in baseball, basketball, and football. He was named Woodland Regional High School’s “Athlete of the Decade” in 2020 and was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 2021.

Kingsley graduated from Anna Maria in 2020.
