Sofia Rosa joined the MIT women’s basketball coaching staff in the 2022-23 season.
 
A four-year player and two-time captain at Tufts University, she set the program record for season field-goal percentage (61.2) during the 2019-20 season, was voted to the 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-District Women’s Basketball Team, and was a three-time NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team qualifier. During her career, the Jumbos captured the 2019 NESCAC Championship, made two Sweet 16 appearances, and advanced to the Elite 8 in 2019.
 
Rosa graduated from Tufts in 2022 with a degree in biology.
