Biography

2013: Appeared in and started 19 games … scored five goals and notched one assist for 11 points … second on the team in goals and third in points … scored the game-winning goals against Simmons (9/02), Worcester State (9/03) and Mount Holyoke (10/05) … was MIT’s lone goal scorer in the 1-1 double overtime game against Roger Williams (9/17).

2012: Played 19 games and started four … recorded three goals and one assist for seven points … helped to set up the game-winning goal against Clark (9/22) … scored the game-winning goal in the 2-1 decision over Wheaton (10/16).

2011: Played in 18 games … only goal of the season came against Husson (10/25).

2010: Played in 19 games … posted three goals and three assists for nine points … scored twice against Southern Maine (9/11).

Off the Field at MIT: Majoring in chemical engineering with concentrations in archaeology and archaeological science … had an internship with Packaging Corporation of America in Counce, Tenn., a pulp and paper company, working with process engineers where she ran chemical tests and made complex spreadsheets … conducted a UROP in the Jensen Group, a chemical engineering lab focused on microreactors, where she worked on optimizing two-phase slug flow in microtubing … researched with the Hatton Research Group that worked in the chemical engineering lab focusing on energy … Burton-Conner social chair and Burton 2 floor chair … captain of Relay for Life team (2011) … MIT women’s rugby club recruitment chair and spring break tour chair … volunteer at the Boston Marathon three years in a row.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Florence High School … five-year starter and captain senior season … three-time team MVP … three-time all-area selection … also played basketball … National Hispanic Recognition Scholar … National Honor Society … Spanish National Honor Society … Mu Alpha Theta … finished first in technical problem solving at Science Olympiad.
