Why I Chose MIT: For me, MIT provided the perfect combination of everything that I was looking for in a school—it offered a rigorous academic experience in addition to a strong Division III athletics program in a great city with virtually limitless opportunities. Also, MIT's sense of community and emphasis on working with others, as opposed to competing against them, was something that particularly intrigued me because this collaborative culture is not found at many other schools.
