Alexandria Clyburn joined MIT’s coaching staff in 2020.

A native of Cartersville, Georgia, Clyburn was a four-time varsity letterwinner as a member of the women's volleyball team at Bryant University. A middle blocker for the Bulldogs, she graduated fifth in career block assists (287), tied for fifth in season block assists (117), sixth in career blocks per set (0.80), and eighth in career blocks (302). During the Division I history of Bryant's program, Clyburn graduated ranking in the top four in season hitting percentage, season block assists, season blocks, season blocks per set, career hitting percentage, career kills, career kills per set, career solo blocks, career block assists, career blocks, and career blocks per set.

Clyburn received a bachelor's degree in Communications in 2014 and then earned a Master's in Communications the following year at Bryant. She went on to work in higher education and is currently an Area Director in East Campus with MIT Undergraduate Residential Life.

Off the court Clyburn loves spending time with her family, fiancé, and friends. She also enjoys hobbies like camping, kite flying, rock climbing and reading. In addition, Clyburn is the proud parent of a Russian Tortoise (Agent Romanova) and a Goldendoodle (Avie)!
