Ashley Margetts joined MIT’s coaching staff in 2025 following a four-year career playing for the Engineers.
During Margetts' career, MIT captured three consecutive NEWMAC Championships and qualified for the NCAA Tournament every year. The Engineers made four appearances in the regional final, winning the regional championship in 2021 and 2022, and advancing to the quarterfinals for the first time since 1984. In 2023, Margetts was voted Team Captain and Most Inspirational Player and was named to the NEWMAC All-Sportsmanship Team
A 2024 graduate, Margetts received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Margetts is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at MIT.
