Why I Chose MIT: MIT has an outstanding academic reputation and the prospect of being able to be a student athlete in such a great program was obviously very important. However, what really made me choose MIT and commit to it were the things that go above and beyond that. During my visits here, I loved being around the people and the atmosphere of the campus. At the time I was being recruited, asking both the current players on the team as well as other students on campus about their experience helped me gain insight into the outstanding environment at MIT and throughout those experiences I really began to see myself here. I also really like the Boston area and wanting to live here played an important role in my decision because there is so much culture, history, and fun places to explore! Above all, I wanted to part of such a driven and inspiring group of people and be challenged by my peers to improve myself each and every day and I believe that there is no better place to accomplish that goal than here at MIT.
