At the Geiger Cup, Tech's Varsity 8 boat completed the course with a time of 6:44.3, behind Columbia with its 6:22.6 in second and Cornell in 6:19.3 in first place. In the second Varsity 8, it was Columbia who was first this time, clocking a 6:27.9. Cornell finished in second with a time of 6:31.4 and MIT was third in 6:52.0.

In MIT's final race, the third Varsity 8, the Engineers were third in 6:55.8, Columbia came in second in 6:18.1 and Cornell took over as the winner, once again, with a time of 6:16.1.
