The Lead:Â The 13
th-ranked MIT squash team fell to fourth-ranked Trinity, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Â In the second spot, graduate student
Joe O'Connor (Madison, N.J.) took
Abdelrahman Nassar to four sets. After dropping the first two, O'Connor took the third, 12-10, but then dropped the fourth by the same score.
- First-year
Tom Hogan (Malvern, Pa.) came close to getting the Engineers a win, forcing a fifth set against
Julius Benthin in the third spot. Hogan took the opening set, 11-9 and forced a fifth set with an 11-7 win, but Benthin took the decisive set by a score of 11-4.
- In the fourth-spot, sophomore
Eli Kramer (Brooklyn, N.Y.) took the opening set 11-6 but dropped the next three, including a very competitive fourth set which finished with a score of 12-10.
