The Lead: First-year
Jack King (Los Altos, Calif.) scored three goals as the MIT water polo team defeated Connecticut College, 10-3 on day two of the NWPC Championships.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Â
- The Engineers jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead after the first quarter as they got goals from senior
Kaden DiMarco (Eugene, Ore.) and sophomore
Evan Kowal (South Pasadena, Calif.) along with two scores from King.
Â

Lucas Verrilli got the Camels on the board at 6:13 to make it a 4-1 match but the Engineers scored the next three as King, first-year
Samuel Tafoya (Ventura, Calif.) and DiMarco all registered goals to put MIT up 7-1 heading into the break.

- Sophomore
Henry Asa (Chappaqua, N.Y.) registered the only two goals in the third to put MIT up 9-1.
- Tafoya scored again in the fourth to make it a 10-1 and two Camels goals wrapped up the scoring for the two teams as MIT secured the 10-3 win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- The three goals are the fewest the Engineers have allowed this season.

- MIT is now 40-0 against Conn. College.
