- The Lead: After a scoreless first half, first-year
Natalie Barnouw (Los Angeles, Calif.) scored just over three minutes into the second period as the No. 6 MIT women's soccer team defeated Williams College by a 1-0 final on Sunday afternoon to remain unbeaten on the season. This marks the second straight regular-season victory for the Engineers in the all-time series with the Ephs.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- In the first half, shots were even at five apiece and both teams had one corner kick opportunity in the scoreless period.

- MIT's offense struck at the 48:48 mark though as Barnouw collected a loose ball in the box and put home an unassisted tally for her fourth goal of the season and the 1-0 lead.

- The MIT defense and goalie junior
Ava Gillikin (Flemington, N.J.) made the lead stand up as the Ephs were shut out for the second day in a row and fourth time this season. It is the eighth shutout win off the year for the Engineers.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Gillikin made four saves in net to earn the win for the Engineers, while
Chelsea Taylor turned aside four shots for the Ephs in the loss.

- Overall, the Ephs outshot the Engineers by a 10-9 margin and held a slight 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
