- The Lead:  A late goal by Emma Lynch in the 80th minute gave No. 11 Williams College a 2-1 win over the 19th-ranked MIT women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
 
- The Eps got on the board first in the 20th minute when Claire Tolliver's shot deflected into the back of the net for a 1-0 lead.
 
- Graduate student Karenna Groff (Weston, Mass.) got a pass in the box from senior Brigette Wang (Clarksville, Md.) and put it past the Ephs keeper to tie the match at 36:45.
 
- MIT looked to take the lead on a penalty kick from junior Meagan Rowlett (Dana Point, Calif.) but her shot was turned away to keep the game tied.
 
- Lynch recorded the game-winning goal with a shot to the upper left corner of the goal to give Williams the win.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 
- The Ephs held the edge in shots (28-4), shots on goal (12-3), and corner kicks (12-2).
 
- Senior Ava Gillikin (Flemington, N.J.) made a career-high 10 saves in goal and is now 3-2-1 this season.
 
- With her goal, Groff is now tied for the team lead with six and leads the team with 16 points. For her career, she now has 47 goals, five shy of the team record.
