HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Engineers tested the Cougars goalkeeper,
Annabella White early in the match as sophomore

- With just under 30 seconds left in the half,
Cassandra Trevino sent a corner kick into the front of the goal where
Jamie Clark got her head on the ball and put it into the upper corner for the score.
- MIT came out firing in the second half with Rowlett, senior
Stephanie Howe (Geneva, Ill.), and sophomore
Ashley English (Sheboygan, Wis.) taking shots within the first few minutes of the half.
- Graduate student
Karenna Groff (Weston, Mass.) had two excellent opportunities to tie the match, but one shot rang off the crossbar and the other was saved by White.
- The Engineers had a flurry of opportunities with three corner kicks in the final minutes, but the Cougars' defense held firm to give Clark the 1-0 win and send them to the NEWMAC Championship match against Emerson.
