The Lead: In its last match of 2022, the MIT squash team suffered a tough 5-4 loss against No. 17 Tufts on Thursday evening in the Zesiger Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- First-year
Bobby Albani (Newton Square, Pa.) got the first win for the Engineers in the match with an efficient 3-0 win over Oliver Eielson in the sixth position.
- Junior
Eli Kramer (Brooklyn, N.Y.) defeated Harry Charlton, 3-1 in the top position to cut the Tufts lead to 4-2.
- Sophomore
Tom Hogan (Malvern, Pa.) and junior
Collin Wen (Short Hills, N.J.) grabbed wins, but Tufts was able to grab the decisive fifth victory to win the match. Wen rallied from down 0-2 to win the next three sets in his fourth-position victory.
