The Lead: Endicott College raced out to a 5-0 lead and maintained a comfortable cushion as it went on to defeat MIT, 16-3, in a non-conference women's lacrosse game on Tuesday afternoon. Junior
Lindsey Gambino (Garden City, N.Y.) posted two goals and two draw controls for the Engineers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Endicott opened the scoring after 4:30 elapsed and generated four more goals during the next 10 minutes. MIT ended the shutout at the 1:57 mark when sophomore
Nora Donnelly (Ridgewood, N.J.) connected on a pass from junior
Delaney Goetz (Rockville, Md.). The Gulls extended their lead to 6-1 with eight seconds left in the quarter.

- Endicott scored twice during the first 31 seconds of the second stanza but Gambino registered an extra-player goal with 12:28 on the clock. The Gulls tacked on two more goals, going up 10-2 with just under six minutes remaining. Gambino buried a free-position shot shortly after the draw, however, Endicott increased its advantage to 11-3 heading into halftime.

- The Gulls controlled the action in the second half as they outscored the Engineers, 5-0. Endicott had a 6-2 edge in shots on goal during the third quarter and both teams produced two shots on net during the final 15 minutes.

Ellie Rabenold (Cincinnati, Ohio) collected four draw controls while sophomore
Faith Bulan (New Providence, N.J.) generated a game-high four caused turnovers to go along with two groundballs. Sophomore
Grace Harrington (Seattle, Wash.) and first-years
Sydney Hawkins (Franklin, Mass.) and
Julianne Flusche (Ridgewood, N.J.) each recorded three groundballs. In net, senior
Kiely Smiga-McManus (Etna, N.H.) tallied eight saves.

- Endicott led the way in shots (29-14), shots on goal (25-12), groundballs (20-19), and draw controls (12-11).

- The Engineers were 13-of-21 during their clearing attempts and 1-of-5 in free-position shots.

- The Gulls were 18-of-22 during their clearing attempts and went 1-of-5 from eight meters.
