- The Lead: The MIT men's tennis snapped its two-match losing streak with a convincing 7-0 win over Springfield in NEWMAC action on Saturday afternoon. The Engineers improve to 30-0 all-time against the Pride.

Wayne Nelms (Baltimore, Md.) and sophomore
Sundeep Chakladar (Redondo Beach, Calif.) got MIT off to a winning start in doubles with an 8-4 win in the top spot. Sophomore
Joseph Li (Naperville, Ill.) and first-year
Daniel Antov (Auston, Texas) followed with an 8-2 win in two singles, and first-year
Benjamin Ebanks (New York, N.Y.) and sophomore
Joshua Masuda (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.) completed the doubles sweep with an 8-0 win.
- Nelms made it a 4-0 MIT lead with a 6-2, 6-1 victory in No. 2 singles and sophomore
Daniel Sharygin (Newburgh, Ind.) put MIT up 5-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 win in No. 1 singles.
- First-year
Carl-Herman Grant (Oslo, Norway) took a 6-2, 6-2 win in No. 3 singles with junior
Benji Grossman (Sands Point, N.Y.) sealing the win with a 6-2, 6-0 win in No. 4 singles.
