The Lead: The MIT sailing team concluded its season at the ICSA National Championships hosted by Tulane University in New Orleans, La. The women's team qualified for the finals after finishing fifth in the semifinals.

ISCA Dinghy Nationals – Women's Open Western and National Championship | 9th of 18 (216 points)

- MIT qualified for the finals with a fifth-place finish after two days of semifinal racing as the top-nine teams from each semifinal qualified for the finals. The Engineers totaled 177 points with 98 in the A-Division and 79 in the B-Division. The team took home 10 top-five finishes with two victories in the 13 races.

- In the finals, the Engineers scored 95 points in the A Division as they earned four top-five finishes, and in the B Division, MIT put up 121 with four top-10 finishes for a total of 216 in the finals.

- Boston College won the event with 114 points over the two-day final.

- The Engineers just missed out on qualifying for the finals with the top-nine advancing to complete for the title. The University of Rhode Island took home the championship.

- MIT scored 82 points in the A Division and tallied 126 points in the B Division for a total of 208 points. Ninth-place Brown accumulated 187 points.

- The MIT boat opened the competition with a win as the team collected two victories and five top-five finishes.
